Knowing Janette wanted to branch into presenting, producers offered her the role which meant she had to quit the main show. Discussing her exit from the professional lineup, Janette got quite emotional during an appearance on The One Show.

I don't want to well up because I've been welling up a lot today but that has been the hardest part of accepting this amazing honour. Janette continued: "I will keep dancing, as they say. I will find a way to keep dancing," adding it was a "dream come true" to land the It Takes Two role. The professional dancer will be making her first appearance as host of the spin-off show in the next couple of weeks.

Having been on the show since it started, Anton is finally putting a pause on his role as a professional dancer. The stalwart enjoyed a stint on the judging panel last year when Bruno Tonioli wasn't able to appear due to travel restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. With a similar situation happening this year, bosses decided to draft in the fan favourite to replace Bruno.

It was the turn of Adam Peaty and Katya Jones to wave goodbye to the competition at the halfway point. The pair were bottom of the leaderboard after getting only 27 points for their jive to Little Bitty Pretty One. AJ Odudu topped the leaderboard on Saturday with an incredible 39 points after her impressive Charleston.

As always the judges' scores were combined with the viewer vote to decide the two couples that would be in the dreaded dance off. Adam and Katya as well as Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin were the two couples who had to fight it out in the dance off.
