The eye is small to closed so this should minimize spoiling of the fruit. Small productive and hardy! Height: 3'-5', but can be kept smaller with some pruning. USDA zone: Light: Full sun to part sun. Bearing age: years. Pollination requirements None. It is self fertile. I have a 3rd year PN in a container, so far the fruit hasn't been very remarkable, but the last two years they've ripened late, and few figs taste good in the cold, wet fall weather up here.

I'm a big fan of getting figs on every node, so even if the fruit starts out a little weak, it's going to hang out in my collection until it's edged out by something better. So far, my only pain point with the PN is that the baby figs start out red and get too much attention from birds.

I have one in a 5 gallon pot right now. Not a lot of fruit, and much smaller skinnier than yours. The tree is not very vigorous in growth either.
